Dirtee Little Richards band is a local bar band with a love for music coming to Jackpot for a free rock concert this weekend. They will be among three acts to perform on Friday, June 8 starting at 6 p.m. on the HorseShu lawn.
J.D. Fultz is bringing his local party band, known as Dirtee Little Richards, Jackpot for day one of a two-day free rock concert taking place this Friday and Saturday.
The band is known for playing venues all over the region from outdoor festivals to casinos to bars.
“We just like to party hard and play music for families.” Fultz said.
Fultz himself has been playing in bands for over 35 years. He has been playing with his current group for at least seven years.
“I grew up in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Everyone my age likes the same music we grew up with so I enjoy playing the tunes we all love.” Fultz said.
The band is made up of J.D. Fultz, Brandie Anderson, Brad Roybal, Joshua K. Johnson and Jason Seldon.
“We love playing in Jackpot. It’s a great little town where you get to meet all kinds of interesting people.” he said.
He describes them as a bar band with plenty of skills, experience and personality. The band tends to cover songs ranging from Johnny Cash to Carrie Underwood, AC/DC to Pink Floyd and more.
The concert on Friday starts at 6 p.m. on the front lawn of the HorseShu Casino. The three bands will perform each one roughly 45-minute set. DLR is one of the bands set to play Friday night.
“Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs and coolers but no glass please.” said Ben Lyda marketing coordinator for Cactus Pete’s.
The three bands set to perform Friday night are The Voltz, Walter Ego and Dirtee Little Richards.
There is also a motorcycle being raffled before the concert on Saturday. The motorcycle is a Hardly-Davidson Sportster 883 Iron.
